Description
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB- Instruct guests in the proper asana and yogic positions.
QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
- 500 hour Yoga Certification with minimum of 3 years' teaching experience OR 200 Hour Yoga Certification plus minimum 5 years' teaching experience
- Certification from traditional yoga teacher training program (i.e. Integral Yoga Institute, Ananda, Sivananda, Kripalu, American Yoga College, or Himalayan Institute Centers) or another school with a Yoga Therapy focus, or comparable training and teaching experience.
- Must be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through the National Yoga Alliance
- Training in breathing techniques, the science and practice of meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, thorough background in physical postures of Hatha yoga
- Active yoga practitioner
- Must be CPR Certified
- Ability to teach a wide variety yoga levels
- Ability to lift 35 lbs
- Excellent personal appearance, listening and communication skills.
- Provide proper guest hospitality and service, as directed by spa management.
- Perform other general duties as assigned by the Fitness Manager
- Work cooperatively with all other spa and resort departments
