QUALIFICATIONS:

• Five years experience in high-quality, luxury-oriented full-service salon
• Perform nail and hair services
• Strong administrative and management skills, including experience with managing inventory
• Warm, enthusiastic manner, with excellent listening, interpersonal and guest relations skills.
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and monitor all facets of salon operation
• Assist to interview and hire salon staff. Train, supervise and evaluate salon staff
• Guide and supervise on-going salon program development
• Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends in hair, nails and make-up, and see that services are continually updated and improved
• Attend regular formal salon staff meetings for purposes of informing, training and inspiring staff
• Develop and oversee daily and weekly salon projects and responsibilities
• Attend regular meetings as directed by Treatments Manager
• Coordinate with all other spa departmental areas or contacts as necessary to ensure smooth and successful functioning of the salon area, e.g., front desk, retail, housekeeping, maintenance, accounting, personnel, purchasing, marketing, public relations, membership sales, etc.
• Oversee salon physical plant to ensure that facilities and equipment are clean, in proper condition and in good working order
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the salon facilities and staff
• Maintain inventory control for all salon areas
• Promote and execute salon product retail sales and train salon staff in effective selling techniques
• Represent the salon, participate in public relations events as requested
• Ensure salon staff provides appropriate and consistent levels of guest/member service and hospitality
• Will be able to work morning or evening, any day of the week, and also holidays. Will remain flexible with schedule and will coordinate schedule with Treatments Manager and Spa Director.
• Provide treatments to guests on as needed basis for covering treatment staff schedules.
